CompliWiseAI ("we", "us") provides software that helps organizations generate compliance documentation. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws.

Data we collect

  • Account data — your name, email address and hashed password.
  • Organization data — the company profile you enter (industry, size, country, data types, risk level) and the documents you generate.
  • Billing data — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your card details.
  • Usage analytics — aggregate, first-party page views and sign-up events. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising trackers, or store your IP address for analytics.

How we use your data

We process your data to provide and secure the service, generate the documents you request, handle billing, respond to support requests, and improve the product. Our lawful bases are performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interests in operating a secure service.

Sharing and sub-processors

We share data only with the service providers needed to run CompliWiseAI — for example our hosting and database providers, our payment processor (Stripe), and the AI provider that generates document content. Each acts as a processor under contract. We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with our legal obligations. You can delete your documents at any time, and request deletion of your account by contacting us.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, role-based access control and audit logging to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the risk.
